It’s a busy
sunny day and I struggle to find my way through the crowded city. Approaching
in my direction is a truckload melee of Christian brethren singing and dancing to
a tune known to be a worldly song; while in attires designed with their church
name and info. By then, this song was a hit and the latest in town to which the
world was enjoying. The clubs, pubs and gatherings of secular masses were
enjoying. I was baffled! Dumbfounded! But as the float drew nearer, I caught
the trick! The lyrics of the so called “secular hit song” had been replaced
with “Christian words”; I wouldn’t say gospel. What! I exclaimed! What is going
on here? Is this a Club – Church campaign? After all they both start with a C?!
or this could be modern Christianity at play? The dance moves and joyous
expression of these brethren was enough to let me know that “we love the
worldly” Who did this to us? How could you serve our king with the same utensils used by the unclean? Do we willingly chose to be vessels of dishonor purported to be a grand scheme of evangelism?
This should be a burden to you if you indeed
love the body of Christ and I write this as a believer of Christ and the
kingdom of heaven. There is a generation of Christians that have gone ahead of
us who initiated the seductions of the church towards the world. And without discernment,
the successive generation simply jumped into what their fathers had left behind.
You know,
this never blamed on the wrong interpretation of scripture. But rather, on the
laziness of brethren who failed to seek the face of our Lord.
It’s quite
interesting to hear brethren say; ‘’Paul said I became like them in order to
win them’’ Therefore the need to introduce worldly culture into the body of Christ.
This is where we began to fail! Now the real world cannot see the difference
between us and them. They are confused. What they wear, we wear. What they
sing, we sing! Places they go to, we go! But why?
In as much as they did not
believe our statutes, they knew and respected our standards. Frankly, an
unbeliever knows what is expected of you a believer. Yes, they know. So they
are very much aware when you slip and fall out. That’s why you unbelieving
friends get so shocked when they meet you at ungodly places! Our standards are
not of this world! Stay focus on the kingdom above for this world has nothing to
offer in eternity. Brethren, friendship with the world is enmity with God. James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. KJV
Do not
become friends with the world in the name of evangelism. Be frank, how many totally
repentant souls have been truly converted based on your “lust” to worldly culture?
Yes, they may be attracted by all the fancy activities with which you use to
attract them but is this true repentance? Does Jesus Christ take the centre
stage from then on?
Come on
brethren! Discern to know what is of God and what’s not! And like I told you from
the beginning, this adultery against the body of Christ is being initiated by
the church. And as a caution to church leaders who impressive this fleshy
pleasure, this strategy may fill your church with fancy youth but you won’t
survive against time. You will be disappointed. And on the day of judgement, woe
unto you if you allowed you church to be used by the devil as a brothel for
such pleasures. You want to look like the world? Be it! You want to be like Christ? Be it! There's no middle ground!
The good
news is that, there’s a generation coming up that would have zero tolerance for
the things of this world. A generation that would be in total tune and focus to
the heavens. A generation that will abhor that which is filthy and unworthy. A
generation that will worship in spirit and in truth knowing their worth is the
army of Christ our Lord.
Let there
be a clean distinction between the church and the world. Let us throw out the
worldly culture; the remixed songs, the clothing, the attitudes and postures, mind-sets
and deceptions. For the Lord is about to do a new thing in our midst.

therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Draw nigh to
God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify
your hearts, ye double minded. KJV
The world has enjoyed much orgasm from the
Body of Christ and it’s about time we bring this fornication to halt! Flee!
